Family Underground is a Copenhagen based duo of Sara Czerny on Buchla Easel synth and Nicolas Kauffmann, guitar/viola effects.
The group came together in 2000. FU has been spreading its web of interest into making sound, film and other media.
the group charatcterizes themselves as making Raw Data Music often presenting sound in performance that is improvised or in other ways subject to randomness.
Releases has been with their own ITLN imprint and Chocolate Monk, badabing records, Kashual Plastik, Discreet Music etc.

Iris Colomb’s practice explores various relationships between visual and verbal forms of text through projects involving performance, book objects, improvisation, and experimental translation. Iris’ individual, collaborative, interactive, and durational performance works have been showcased across the UK as well as in various European and one Chilean festival.
Iris is one half of experimental theatre and slapstick duo Soft Play with artist Paul Ingram and text-sound duo [something’s happening] with musician Daryl Worthington. She is also part of improvising trios Small Print Drama (with Douglas Benford and Tom Ward) and TheThreeFeet (with John Bisset and Andrew Ciccone). Publications include pamphlets I’m Shocked (Bad Betty Press, 2018), just promise you won’t write (Gang Press, 2019), Ridiculous Unlikely Attempt (Hesterglock Press, 2023) and Where do you begin in this (Ma Bibliothèque, 2024). Her first collection Nothing Intensifies was published by Pamenar Press earlier this year. Her first solo exhibition, ‘Try! Try! Try! Again!’, featuring visual, sonic and performative pieces is at Southbank Centre’s National Poetry Library until January 4th 2026.

Ivor Kallin plays viola with Barrel and the London Improvisers Orchestra; bass and vocals with Glowering Figs and words as Ambrosia Rasputin and with John Bisset as Smoo. Ivor Kallin presents a weekly radio show on Resonance FM.

Jordan Muscatello is active in experimental and improvised music in London. Predominantly playing bass, he has been a frequent attendee of Eddie Prévost’s weekly workshop for over a decade and has performed with many members of London’s community of improvising musicians. His regular activities include the noise project West Grealing, playing double bass with the Rick Jensen Trio and with petals and Ed Shipsey as dogs paw trio. He plays electric bass in Diaries of Destruction II, an experimental drone metal project with producer/composer/guitarist Elif Yalvaç, recordings of which were released as an album in 2024. He also operates Spinky Records, releasing noise and beats.

Ed Shipsey is in the groups, Dogs Paw Trio, Egg & Crisp, Sea Mantis, West Grealing, he also makes stuff by himself sometimes. He puts on a poetry and music event called Hard Work with Paul Ingram and does various other things. Some links:
