A show of new abstract paintings by the artist Mervyn Diese all for sale at £69.
‘The general idea was to release a series of things that would be very different to the paintings that I made during the pandemic. Which were very intense projects.
‘And as I have been focusing on my WHAT IS PEACE? film project as a reaction to the war in UKRAINE which has been amplified by the current genocide being committed in PALESTINE by Israel.
‘I wanted to work on something else far from both of those things.
‘So a simple second commercial project was born. This is a idea given to me by one of my favourite story tellers, Ursula Le Guinn in her book The Disposed. Where the artworks in the tale were referred to as OCCUPATIONS OF UNOCCUPIED SPACE.
‘Which is what I have chosen to call this series of works.
‘This is a little one night only Wednesday night show, and yes I will be performing as well’.
