Raw Tonk Records returns to Hundred Years Gallery for another evening of improvised music
Emilie Skrijelj – turntable, objects

For this concert we are joined by Emilie Skrijelj and Tom Malmendier. The duo began working together in 2019 under the name “Les Marquises” – an electric and intense duo in which Emilie plays turntable, amplified accordion and electronics, and Tom plays the drums.
In parallel with this duo, they developed other projects in collaborations with international musicians, such as Axel Dorner, Otomo Yoshihide, Christine Abdelnour, and Mike Ladd. In 2022 they collaborated with Colin Webster, Dirk Serries and Martina Verhoeven for the Raw Tonk release ‘Oud Klooster’.
For their shows in the UK, they will use a smaller setup, with only snare drum for Tom, and a small portable turntable for Emilie, mostly played with objects.
For this concert they will be joined by Colin Webster on alto saxophone, and Caius Williams on bass to form a brand new quartet.
