Kate Carr is a London-based sound artist working across composition, performance and installation. Her practice explores the encounters, textures and technologies entangled with field recording. In her compositional and performance work, she centres the ambiguities and fictions of field work, often combining recorded material with live foley practices and performances on instruments assembled from discarded materials.
Her work approaches space as relational, drawing on materials such as the layered sound of public environments and infrastructural vibrations from traffic flows and pedestrians. She regularly performs internationally and runs the sound art label Flaming Pines.

Magda Drozd, born in Warsaw, is a composer, violinist, and sound artist living in Zürich and London. She has been releasing her music on the Swiss label Präsens Editionen (PE) since 2019, and further contributions have followed on Hallow Ground, Flaming Pines and Rivercore. Together with Nicola Genovese, she founded the duo Sopraterra, which released the LP ‘Seven Dances to Embrace the Hollow’ on PE and La Becque Editions in 2025. Her music has gained recognition from acclaimed outlets such as The Wire, The Quietus, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC 3 New Music Show, NTS Radio, Ransom Note, groove and Polskie Radio.
Divided by Dusk, the Polish composer’s third solo album, carries the promise of a crepuscular otherworldliness. Inspired by Drozd’s stays in Japan, its rich tradition in ambient and experimental music, and a renewed engagement with her roots in Poland and its folk and ancient history, her work is a form of sonic excavation. Layers of dark-ambient tones intertwine with field recordings, textured violin, and luminous folk motifs, welcoming the listener into a liminal world—one filled with buried treasures.
