Abstract Art Workshop with Jessie Couzelis. Saturday 8th September 18:30-20:30

Please join us Saturday evening for an abstract art workshop with Canadian artist, Jessie Couzelis. Jessie will instruct a series of playful exercises suitable for all skill levels – no experience necessary. Come start out your night with creative expression while enjoying a tipple from the Gallery Café. This workshop promises to be fun and therapeutic!

There is no set fee, instead we request a donation of “pay what you want, pay what you can” as a gesture of gratitude for the two hour session.

Jessie is an interdisciplinary artist from Vancouver, Canada, who has been traveling in Europe and North Africa for the past two years. Her recent work is inspired by the freedom and spontaneity of her nomadic lifestyle. This is reflected in the compositions of her abstract mixed media paintings; she employs layers of paint, collage and textural applications to create artwork that is both autobiographical and fantastical. Apart from painting and exhibiting, she teaches creative workshops to groups of all ages and is exploring projects in poetry, participatory installation, and film.

Her work can be found in private and corporate collections as well as the homes of friends, family and strangers all over the world.
