A double bill of two duos:
light.box is an improvising duo where dark ambient meets gestural improv, gritty noise corrupts epic electronica: the instrumental sources of Alex Bonney (trumpet) and Pierre Alexandre Tremblay (bass) are subverted by their expansive electronic processing, yielding experimental and exploratory sound worlds.
George Crowley/Dave Smith Duo
Saxophonist George Crowley (Ivo Neame, Agile Experiments, Yazz Ahmed, Melt Yourself Down) and percussionist Dave Smith (Robert Plant, Fofoulah, Cloudmakers, Loop Collective) have been musical colleagues and friends for over 10 years but this marks only their second public performance as an improvised duo, exploring space, texture, arrangement and years of bickering and comedy Norfolk accents in bursts of colour and sound.
