Editions / Ben Coiacetto

Ben Coiacetto was born in 1984 and reared between infinite stretches of ocean and bushland in the remote fishing village of Brooms Head, Australia. He received a BA of Visual Communication from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He has lived and worked as an artist and musician in Montreal, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Berlin and now London, performing and exhibiting in solo and group shows as himself, under the pseudonym ‘Ronnie Flotsam and as ‘PINCERS’.

Coiacetto works across many media, found objects and materials. The medium is selected and defined by its relevance to the texture of the experience being explored. Video, sound, painting sculpture and installation are presented as overlapping – an acute rendering of the cacophonic experience of contemporary culture by the solipsist.
