Sabine Delafon’s artwork spans from photography to glass installation, from writing painting to performance, passing through the street art. Her main areas of research are identity, love and spirituality into the key of quantity. The intersection of these central themes, their repetition and the course of time is where her work takes shape. A great book with open chapters of a human history.
Since 2014, Milan-based French artist Sabine Delafon has been buying signs saying “I am hungry” from homeless people she encounters in the street. Each authentic signs are then turned into black and white posters, t-shirts and porcelain plates .The first part of the gainings cover production costs, the second part go to the artist and the third part is donated to ‘Equoevento onlus’ a non-profit organisation based in Rome, which collects excess food from big social events and distributes it to homeless people. “I am hungry” is a human condition shared by all of us: regardless of whether it is hunger for food, hunger for love, hunger for beauty, culture or travels, we all are hungry for something.»
