Led by composer saxophonist Matt London, Ensemble Entropy is a dynamic new music ensemble exploring the space between composed contemporary music & free improvisation: Seth Bennett (double bass), Georgia Cooke (flute) and Rebecca Raimondi (violin) will be joined by Jenn Kirby (Live electronics) and Megan Steinberg (turntable) in a program that will also include the world premiere of the late Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ “Invitation Card to Giuseppe” for solo violin.
By setting up an open uninhibited environment the ensemble challenges composers to devise pieces exploring the impromptu finding their own solutions.
Works on the night by featured composers Megan Steinberg, Alessandro Viale, Jenn Kirby and Fintan O’Hare plus works by Ensemble Entropy members ending with a full ensemble work by Seth Bennett.
