Music : Apocalypse Jazz Unit. Saturday 19th March 19:30

Apocalypse Jazz Unit was formed as a recording project by Rick Jensen in 2013. It eventually transformed into a live band with many different members coming and going and many guests! They harness the 1960’s free jazz with a dose of humour and occasionally some disco… the band has been up to 17 members at one time and is usually pretty fucking loud.

This Birthday gig for Rick is a return to Hundred Years Gallery after a few years and we’ll be exploring small and large combinations, quiet… and loud.
With Hywel Jones (euphonium), Gardyloo Spew (alto saxophone), Alan Newcome (alto saxophone), John Eyles (alto saxophone), Anthony Donovan (alto saxophone), Tarik Haskic (bass clarinet), Simon Paton (bass) and Jordan Muscatello (bass).

Apocalypse Jazz Unit have released over 80 albums and performed live many times. Always fun.
