Sothiac formed in Berlin during the Summer of 2015. Pat MoonchyLucio ‘Lucky’ Liguori recorded the first Sothiac album ‘Sothis” at the studios established in the STASI’s still perfectly preserved ex-offices. The album gained personal praise from John Zorn. Their second album ‘Erebia Christi’ was recorded in Hamburg in 2016. The duo have toured extensively in Europe, Japan and China before moving to London in 2017.

During the London lockdown Sothiac recorded the EP ‘Superluna’ featuring producer Paul Jolly on saxophone and bass clarinet. This trio subsequently released the ‘Tiamat’ EP and three videos with visual artists Michele Bernardi and Lino Budano.

This show is dedicated to the memory of artist and collaborator Lino Budano who sadly passed away on Friday 10th December 2021

A very limited number of advance copies of ‘Superluna’ will be available on the night as an exclusive to Hundred Years Gallery. The limited 180gr vinyl edition (400) mastered at Abbey Road Studios will be published by 33 Jazz Records in early 2022, and is available for pre-order here: 33jazz.com & sothiac.bandcamp.com
