Poetry : Vicky Sparrow / Lila Matsumoto / Tom Betteridge. Wednesday 2nd August 19:00


A reading to celebrate the London launch of Vicky Sparrow‘s stand ins (RunAmok, 2022) and Tom Betteridge‘s Dog Shades (Just Not,2003).

Tom Betteridge is a poet living in London. His pamphlets include Mudchute (Veer2, 2021) and Dressings (MATERIALS, 2019). With Ellen Dillon he co-edited The Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry’s special issue on Peter Manson’s poetry and translations. His new pamphlet Dog Shades is available from Just Not.

Lila Matsumoto lives in Nottingham. Recent work includes Two Twin Pipes Sprout Water (Prototype), Foggy Eyes (Earthbound Press), Many Glorious Petals (Feeding Tube Records), and a poem for the magazine Happy Birthday?. She co-runs the music and performance series Rammel Club and in 2021 co-curated Pommel, a programme of videos by artists working between textual, visual, and sonic media. She plays in the band Food People and teaches poetry at the University of Nottingham.

Vicky Sparrow lives in London and works in Nottingham. She has poems in Ludd Gang, Writing Utopia and Zarf; stand ins is published by RunAmok.
