Simon Allen – glass harp, Jan Hendrickse – flutes, Angharad Davies – violin
The welcome return of Pressure Observations, for the third concert in the series, continuing a long musical collaboration between Jan Hendrickse & Simon Allen. The music is for the most part freely improvised with the occasional admission of compositional elements. Here, the sound incorporates a search for grit in the sweetness of glass and techniques that make flutes sound without breath.
For this performance they are again joined by Angharad Davies, forming a dynamic trio equally at home with compositional thinking and free improvisation.
Expect music that is as equally measured as unconfined.
