Tino, Asad, La Monte and Me.
On January 31st at Hundred Years Gallery Rita Says presents an evening of live performance and music documentary combined with a short talk on the influence of U.S. composer La Monte Young and the experience that working with contemporary artists Tino Sehgal and Asad Raza has had on her practise.
Two films will be shown: Roland Denning‘s recent documentary on Rita Says and The Jerico Orchestra’s 2019 performance of La Monte Young’s Composition 1960 Number 7, and in the second half a secret underground documentary on the Berlin Electronic Music scene.
Rita Says will also present a new performance – Legion, an aesthetic demonstration of collective action.
