John Bisset and Jem Finer have played together in various contexts including the London Electric Guitar Orchestra, pushing the guitar to the limits of extended technique.
When they both shifted sideways to new instruments it seemed inevitable that they should combine forces.
For this debut outing they are joined by two inventive and keenly attuned players – Hywel Jones and Luigi Marino.

Jem Finer is an artist, musician and composer. Since studying computer science in the 1970s, he has worked in a variety of fields, including photography, film, experimental and popular music and installation. His 1000 year long musical composition, Longplayer, represents a convergence of many of his concerns, particularly those relating to systems, sustainability, long-durational processes and extremes of scale in both time and space.
Recent music includes the release crowpop. hrdy grdy, an album of hurdy gurdy and minimal electronics, was released by Thanet Tape Centre on 13th January 2022.

John Bisset is a musician and visual artist based in London. His work ranges between free improvisation and composition including songmaking/singing. He is currently improvising on the lapsteel guitar, using preparations and moving in an increasingly abstract sound world.
Recent music includes the release, in October 2022, of O||o an album of solo lapsteel improvisations.

Luigi Marino is a musician based in Bristol. His work focuses on networks able to display relationships between human and nonhuman actors, with particular attention to how intuitive decisions can profoundly affect pre-existing conditions. He is an active improvisor performing on both electronic media and percussion, especially zarb and bowed custom cymbals.

Hywel Jones : Originally hailing from Swansea, South Wales, Hywel studied music at Goldsmiths University where he graduated in 2013.
He has played Trombone and Euphonium in a wide range of styles and with ensembles including free improvisation group The Apocalypse Jazz Unit and rapper WONDRWOMN. He is also interested in composition and is currently working on his own project with various friends/musical collaborators.
