Benjy Sandler
Benjy Sandler is a saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and composer from North London. He is currently studying for a Master in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Recent performance highlights include playing twice at the EFG London Jazz Festival – both with his own co-led quintet and with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra – and regular concerts with the London Improvisers Orchestra. He has released and appeared on multiple albums, the latest of which attracted the praise of Jazz FM. As well as performing on and composing for acoustic instruments, he likes to explore electronics and has produced pieces that use wavetable synthesis to manipulate acoustic sounds; one of these was featured at the “Polyphonic” exhibition at the Crypt Gallery in Euston in 2023.
