Critically acclaimed soprano, Susanna MacRae, is joined by virtuoso guitarist David Black in this evening of intimate songs, punctuated by Braid’s brief and haunting solos for guitar.
Composer David Braid has set some 60+ poems to music over the course of his career so far.
This performance presents two books of his settings of poems by Lorca, Mallarme, R.S. Thomas, Liao Chung-K’ai, Ho Hsiang-ning, Shakespeare and Bunyan.
