Onin album release + Sarah Farmer + John Macedo. Friday 10th January 19:30

Onin is the collaborative duo of James L Malone and Joe Wright, which explores interlocking feedback systems in highly volatile improvised music. The gig marks the release of their second album on FD, O1N1I1U1.

Sarah Farmer is an artist and violinist based in Birmingham. Increasingly these two practices combine.  Performances might include found sounds, objects, made instruments, harmoniums, explorations in cosmology and site specific installations, but usually, at the very least, violins.  Sarah is also co-director of experimental sound festival Ideas of Noise and of artist led studio group The Lombard Method.

John Macedo is a sound artist and performer from London. He has incorporated everything from acoustic instruments and environmental sound to analogue and computer synthesis into recorded works, live performances, film, and sound installations. He has a pluralistic approach which explores and reveals the hidden potential in all sounds, environments and technologies, often in intimate, immersive and intuitive ways.
