Hélène Williams and Stephen Bird : Shameless. Saturday 30th September 7:30

Hélène Williams creates significant forms that investigate the connection between mind and art, thus embracing her experience as a psychotherapist and an artist.

‘Sexuality and Shame’ has been explored through the mediums of ceramic, textile, painting and performance.
Shame is an overwhelming emotion put there by another / society. Shame can be healed in relationship with a safe and compassionate other.

The performance, SHAMEless illustrates the journey from shame to shameless through the relationship between Jasmine Pender the Cellist, the audience and Hélène.

Initially trained in BSc Psychology followed by a BA Ceramics from Camberwell and an MA in Arts Psychotherapy.
She has exhibited in India, France, Holland and the UK and has been reviewed in The Times, The Independent, Time Out, The Hindu Times and The Kentish Gazette
