The Great British Brass Band – but not as you know it! Speckles Brass play freely improvised music drawing on influences as diverse as the musical interests of its members – poetry, art, dance, new sounds, classical harmony, grungy blues – it’s all in there! They have recently collaborated with musicians such as Joe Wright, Julie Kjaer and Mia Marlen Berg; and joining Speckles for this performance are The Forgotten Fairground dancers.
The Forgotten Fairground is a collaborative music and dance group, started by Trumpeter & Composer, Matt Gough. For the last 4 years they have been exploring the possibilities of improvisation & interaction across music and dance, and will be doing so with Speckles Brass tonight.
Speckles Brass are:
Matt Gough, Aaron Diaz, Mike Soper – trumpets
Kieran McLeod, Rich Foote, Raph Clarkson, Yusuf Narcin – trombones
