Trio : Lori Freedman, Angharad Davies & Anton Lukoszevieze. Saturday 8th December 19:30

Improvised and original ‘Open-Form’ scores :

Lori Freedman (clarinets)
Angharad Davies (violin)
Anton Lukoszevieze (cello)

The furiously original Canadian clarinettist Lori Freedman has formed a trio for this concert with 2 of her London counterparts, the powerful…significant…first class violinist Angharad Davies (from Apartment House and Skogen ensembles) and the  intimate and incredibly sensitive playing of cellist / inter-disciplinary artist Anton Lukoszevieze (director of Apartment House).
During an evening of music being made for the first time together, these 3 veteran improvisers will bring new meaning to the concept of sound organized in time.

Lori Freedman is a member of the international group of people currently named “the renaissance musicians.” Freedman’s artistic practice spans the gamut. With full throttle in both contemporary and improvised music streams she is known internationally for her provocative and creative performances. As an interpreter of written music for clarinet hundreds of works have been dedicated to and/or premiered by her. While managing a full performance schedule (more than 75 concerts a year), making recordings, touring and leading workshops, Freedman has also been receiving commissions to write music for an eclectic group of artists.
