Miguel Álvarez presents new compositions for mixed ensemble, solo clarinet, and string trio. The music will be played by current Guildhall School students and more established musicians.

These works explore a variety of textures, techniques, approaches, moods and modes, drawing inspiration from the great masters of twentieth century music. Polymodality, serialism, free polyphony, different kinds of symmetries and mirrors… are all thrown into the mix. The relentless and turbulent nature of the music reflects our situation in today´s society.
